When putting on your jewellery, make sure it goes on last, after applying any make-up, creams, or fragrances for the perfect finishing touch to your look. This will also preserve the jewellery sparkles ensuring it maintains its quality. 

 

How To Protect

Keep your jewellery away from intense activities. When lifting or carrying any heavy objects, make sure that your it's off, as jewellery can be fragile. The better you take care of your fine pieces, the longer they will retain their magnificence.

 

How To Clean, Store, and Transport

For making sure that your fine jewellery retains its quality, we recommend that you utilize your BARRYGEMS complimentary service (T’s & C’s Apply). 

Otherwise, for better convenience, you can use a soft-bristled brush, dipped in soapy water, then carefully rinse and dry with a soft cloth.

Please use your BARRYGEMS cloth that came with your purchase for more convenient cleaning.

We recommend you keep your jewellery in its original BARRYGEMS packaging, laid flat, and secured nicely. Make sure your jewellery does not touch, should you wish not to do so. This prevents unnecessary scratches or scuff marks on your jewellery. 

 

 How To Best Care For Your Gemstones

 

Gemstones are at the heart of every BARRYGEMS creation. With more than a decade of experience, this is the same advice we give our clients on how to best preserve and protect their investment stones. 

 

To preserve the original quality of your gemstones, we have found that chemical products such as perfume, some soaps, and make-ups/cosmetics affect the quality of your gems long-term. 

 

Although this isn’t the same for all gemstones, this rule of thumb will help maintain the quality of your fine gems.

 

When cleaning your gem, do so with your BARRYGEMS cleaning cloth. If this is an investment piece you wish to sell, we highly recommend wearing microfiber gloves, this will also help avoid unnecessary scuff marks and scratches.

 

Ensure that your gem is kept in its original box until it is time for it to be put to use.
